Surge - Warlock Arc 3.0 PvE Build

Updated: Nov 10, 2022

Dusting off a couple of old exotics! Add clear and target jolting is where this build shines.

Warlock Arc 3.0 Build - Surge

This warlock Arc 3.0 build is designed to maximize melee uptime and add clear. Surge focuses on the Lightning Surge ability first introduced with the Arc 3.0 subclass rework.

The options we need to use to utilize this build include the Lightning Surge aspect, the exotic armor Claws of Ahamkara, the exotic weapon Monte Carlo, and the mods Bountiful Wells and Melee Wellmaker.

Other than these, we can modify as needed to fit the content we are playing. For example, we have selected Arc Soul here to have additional support, but Electrostatic Mind aspect also plays well as every Arc or jolted kill creates Ionic Traces which will make us amplified and give more ability energy.

We will be able to apply jolt to stronger enemies while deleting minor enemies with ease all at the same time. Add an Arc weapon such as Brigand's Law and we will be able to chain lightning in a wide area-of-effect.

Because we are utilizing Claws of Ahamkara and Monte Carlo, we will have no trouble keeping our melee ability full, leading to nonstop lightning strikes and jolted targets. Our mods will also allow us to gain other ability energy quickly too as adding Bountiful Wells with multiple Melee Wellmakers will net four Arc wells with charged melee kills.

The fragments are not as important for the core of this build but, they do add some nice melee synergies. We have selected the Sparks of Resistance, Ions, Feedback and Recharge.

The gameplay loop focuses on maximizing our melee ability so whenever there is a group of minor enemies or a boss, we will use Lightning Surge to clear adds and jolt the boss. Due to the Claws of Ahamkara, we will also have another charge ready to use and if lucky, the combination of Ionic Traces and Arc wells will generate our second charge within seconds.

If we use our charges too quickly or miss and are unable to regenerate our melee, using the Monte Carlo on a few minor enemies will give us a charge to restart the process all over.

Thanks for reading our Warlock Arc 3.0 PvE Build - Surge. We have a lot of fun testing and messing around with different weapons and exotics.
